Tim Cohen-led project Magic Trick is releasing River of Souls, its third installment, this December 3 via Empty Cellar Records. Recorded in Cohen’s own attic studio (which he named The Tree House), the new album approaches themes of love and escapism via the lo-fi pop he is known for within his foggy hometown. The ten-tracked album brandishes sparring female vocalists over James Kim’s percussion and Alicia Vanden Heuvel’s driving basslines.
