Mazzy Star and The Entrance Band are touring the West Coast together in support of their new albums. Mazzy Star will headline a gig at The Warfield on November 6 with The Entrance Band and opener Mariee Sioux. Mazzy Star’s fourth studio album, Seasons of Your Day, was released in September on their own independent record label Rhymes of An Hour. The album comes seventeen years after the band’s previous album, Among My Swan, was released on Capital Records. Founding members Hope Sandoval and David Roback ended their lengthy hiatus with the release of double a-sided single “Common Burn”/”Lay Myself Down” in 2011. The dreamy Santa Monica band is known for performing in the dark.

The Entrance Band’s new album, Face The Sun, is due out November 19 on Beyond Beyond is Beyond Records. It is the LA-based psychedelic rock trio’s first album since 2009’s self-titled LP on Ecstatic Peace. The Entrance Band will also headline a pair of local shows later this month. They will perform the Fernwood Resort in Big Sur on November 22, and at The Chapel in San Francisco on November 23. Stream Face The Sun single “Spider” below.
