Cafe Stritch hosts HalLOUween tribute to Lou Reed

In tribute to recently fallen hero Lou Reed, Café Stritch will host HalLOUween, a evening of Reed-inspired music and performances. Reed and Reed-related music will be spun by Jeff Brummett and Maxwell Borkenhagen (guitarist for the recently disbanded Ugly Winner), plus a not-quite-finalized bill of local musicians performing Reed and Velvet Underground covers. Solo performances from former members of SJ’s Ugly Winner and The Bang have been confirmed so far for the evening; other slots remain open.

This event is free and all-ages. There’s also a Lou Reed costume contest if you’re interested in channeling the man himself.
