Clipd Beaks playing 'Lost Offerings' EP release show in Oakland

Oakland’s Clipd Beaks have returned with a new EP called Lost Offerings, out now on Moon Glyph. The band will be performing live at a cassette release show on Friday, October 25 at the Night Light in in Oakland.

Clipd Beaks have dabbled in various sub-genres over the past decade, maintaining an orbit around what could be described as psychedelic post-punk. The four tracks on the band’s latest release find Clipd Beaks plunging into dark, hazy psychedelia, ripe with grimy guitars, fluctuating vocals, and melodic pop ambiance.

Lost Offerings was recorded at White Rock in West Oakland and recalls the band’s dense and progressive live sound. Hear a cut from the new cassette release called “All Ways Closer” below.

Oakland’s Elephant & Castle, Hiss & Hum, and Safeword will also perform at Friday’s release show.
