Dan Casey, the brain behind Berkeley-based electronic project Yalls, is taking a different approach to his self-titled project.
A far cry from his experimental dance-ready tracks, the upcoming LP Empty City (out October 22 via Ceremony) has more of a singer-songwriter vibe. As we previously discussed with Casey, the project formerly known as Steezy Ray Vibes is about “refinement and cohesion.” Expect a tight, slowed-down feel to the new album.
Stream “Playing Games” below, and pre-order the LP here. Casey celebrates the release of Empty City this Sunday, October 27 at Amnesia in San Francisco.
