Austin-based Okkervil River is touring North America in support of their seventh studio album The Silver Gymnasium, out September 3 via ATO Records. The band’s run, which pairs them with Matthew E. White, drops by The Fillmore next Tuesday, October 22, and we have a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky reader.

The Silver Gymnasium is a concept album that takes place in Okkervil River lead singer Will Sheff’s home-town of Meriden, New Hampshire in 1986 when his parents were working at the nearby boarding school Kimball Union Academy, and NPR is running a ridiculously cool interactive feature for the map, which was created by another New Englander, artist and musician William Schaff. For any child of the ’80s, the entire album and all of its companion pieces are a trip down memory lane, complete with references to Atari, Slip’N Slide, Def Leppard, and the like.

Below, get details on how to win a pair of tickets to Okkervil River’s show at The Fillmore, and then watch the official artwork video for The Silver Gymnasium, which features more Schaff-created visuals along with photos from Sheff’s childhood, as well as the official lyric video for album opener “It Was My Season”.

To enter for a chance to win tickets to see Okkervil River at The Fillmore, email contest@thebaybridged.com with “Okkervil River” in the subject line and your full name and email address in the body of the email. A winner will be selected at random and notified via email.
