Sleepy Sun

Three albums deep, the psych rock and rollers of Sleepy Sun recently dropped their latest tune “11:32,” from their new self-titled 7-inch out now via Dine Alone Records. Along with the b-side “The Lane,” the single is the band’s first offering since the 2012 LP Spine Hits, and if it is any indication of what we can expect from Sleepy Sun’s fourth studio album, due to be released sometime next year, we should brace ourselves for a fully confident record that leans towards the heavier, darker side of the psychedelic spectrum.

Earlier this month, the band premiered the music video for “11:32,” highlighting the song’s sinister undercurrents through the decay of a belligerent party girl on a midnight bender. If you feel like getting creepy, check out the full sonic experience below and be sure to catch Sleepy Sun at its record release show this Friday, October 18, at Brick & Mortar.

[Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this post incorrectly stated the the band’s new 7-inch was called ‘White Dove’. ‘White Dove’ was a track off Sleepy Sun’s 2009 album ‘Embrace’ and was released on 7-inch around that time.]
