San-Fermin

Baroque pop suite San Fermin will be making a stop at the intimate, shadowy Café Du Nord in support of their fall tour following the September release of their self-titled debut album. Focused on polyrhythm and the complexity of human emotion, Brooklynite Ellis Ludwig-Leone composes and arranges multi-instrumental movements—and the group’s self-titled album listens more like a symphony than a collection of pop duds.

Café Du Nord should make for great surroundings for the quartet. First single “Sonsick” (video below) is heavy but brilliant—under the somber lights at du Nord, you’ll feel the battle between angst and elation. As the track goes, “It’s a sunny kind of sickness.”
