Lo-fi garage rock troupe Wavves are uniting with the enigmatic King Tuff for a visit to SoMa’s Slim’s on Wednesday.

Following the release of this year’s Afraid of Heights (which dropped March 26 via Mom + Pop), Wavves has got the California sound down. Though they initially began as a product of boredom and ballsy brashness, Wavves broke onto the pop punk scene to become the perpetually blazed, rambunctious sons the West Coast loves.

And who else is better suited to complement the gnarly delirium of Wavves than the weird and wicked King Tuff? Since the reissue of Tuffy’s 2008 debut Was Dead, out earlier this year on Burger Records, he’s been on the ups. With a set-up by Jacuzzi Boys, a lo-fi trio out of Miami, and the venue backdrop of Slim’s (which is basically built like a giant garage anyway), Wednesday’s show will blow out eardrums—in the best way.

Lucky you—we’re giving away two tickets to the show. To enter for a chance to win tickets to see Wavves at Slim’s, email contest@thebaybridged.com with “Wavves” in the subject line and your full name and email address in the body of the email. A winner will be selected at random and notified via email.
