As a general rule, pop-up shows are always awesome. Especially when it’s a WillCall pop-up featuring YACHT. On Thursday, the Portland-native electropop duo takes over Public Works. The band performed at our own Phono del Sol music festival earlier this summer, so you already know they’re one of our staff favorites, and with good reason.

YACHT’s live performances bring their recordings to life in a whole new realm of space age imagination. Contrasting their bright, carefree pop vibe, frontwoman Claire Evans packs a total punk rock punch, engaging the audience completely and pulling stunts like wrapping mic chords around her neck.

YACHT has also created an entire subculture around their music and performances, exploring the power of metaphysical dimensions, hidden symbols, dystopian and utopian societies, and apocalyptic situations.

Supporting YACHT on Thursday will be a live set by Jeffrey Jerusalem and DJ sets from Eug and Shane King.

We also have a pair of tickets to giveaway! To enter to win, be the first person to email katie.kopacz@thebaybridged.com, with YACHT in the subject line and your full name in the body of the email.
