Zola Jesus‘s Versions offers stripped-down takes on her songs, with the singer’s powerful voice accompanied by a string quartet and far fewer electronics than one might otherwise expect. It’s a bold approach that highlights the songcraft underneath all of the widescreen bombast. Supported by her arranger, instrumental composer JG Thirlwell, Zola Jesus will be coming to the Palace of Fine Arts on Thursday, September 26, and we have THREE pairs of tickets to give away.
