San Francisco duo Chasms (Jess Labrador and Sky Madden) have shared the official music video for “Not in this Dimension”, another highlight from their Riser EP (following the title track), which was released last month on cassette via Dream Recordings.
The video is directed by San Francisco visual artist and musician Marc Manning, formerly of Tied to the Branches. Manning says his work “is based on the idea that art and music are divinatory tools when approached with an empty mind.”
The black-and-white video carries an otherworldly tone that echoes the haunting imagery of the song, with shadowy shots of leaves and branches juxtaposed over guitar strings and curvy lines. Watch the video below.
Chasms join Dirty Beaches and SISU on a West Coast tour starting this week in Austin, with a stop at Bottom of the Hill on September 22.
