No plans for Saturday? Great. Make your way over to Lower Haight for an afternoon of vibe-worthy electronic music and (probably) free beer. Professional Fans are hosting a Pop-Up Show at Vinyl Dreams with a live set from Glenn Jackson, and vinyl DJ sets from Avalon Emerson as well as Coolgreg. The free event is sponsored by Newcastle.

Oakland’s Glenn Jackson, half of James & Evander, released his debut solo EP on Ceremony earlier this year (stream it below). He has performed solo sets at the Sacramento Electronic Music Festival, Push the Feeling, and recently at the Born Gold house show last Sunday (which was awesome, by the way). Leave it to Mr. Jackson to turn a cool record store into an epic dance party.

Avalon Emerson is quickly becoming a San Francisco institution with her acclaimed DJ sets, house-oriented edits, and original dance music. As she readies her debut album with Icee Hot, expect her to drop her deep knowledge on all things electronic as she spins juicy cuts from her vinyl collection. We recently premiered her addicting Cybernetic Edit of Blue Hawaii’s “The Other Day”.

Professional Fans co-founder/resident Coolgreg with keep the party going with a DJ set from his own impressive vinyl collection.

Vinyl Dreams is a record store specializing in electronic and dance music, located at 593 Haight St. The Pro Fans Pop Up will take place between 4 and 8pm this Saturday. Afterwords, head down the street to Push the Feeling at Underground SF to catch live sets from Exray’s and Yalls.
