Unstrung is three-quarters of the band Mud Mouth, which disbanded when one of its members “had a nervous breakdown.” Unstrung’s Alex Petralia tells me the band is “growing up” from their Mud Mouth days, while their EP title, Sucking Fun in the Fucking Sun suggests they aren’t growing up too much, thankfully. The EP is full of aggressive punk with a distinctively strong low end tone. It will be released in September, and if you pre-order from Humor Records, you can be the proud owner of clear vinyl, a test pressing, a button and a sticker for just ten bucks.
