The final set on the Potrero Stage at this year’s Phono del Sol Music & Food Festival was a particularly memorable one for the audience and the production staff alike. Thee Oh Sees had been powering through a loud, amazing set, when all of a sudden singer John Dwyer invited the crowd to pass through the front barricades and join the band on stage. It’s unsurprising, because not only have TOS played on that band shell before without separation from their audience, but they almost always like to be in close quarters with them.

Check out this video of TOS performing “Dead Energy” shot by Evan Henkel, which captures the migration from grass to “front row” for many of the fans, who were already pumped and ready to dance.
