Summer of Fuzz Volume 2

Flying under the radar earlier this summer was the second installment in Fuzz City RecordsSummer of Fuzz compilation series, released exclusively on cassette back on June 10. As with last year’s debut, Summer of Fuzz Volume 2 is chock full o’ hot summertime cuts from a host of bands from around the Bay and beyond, including Cool Ghouls, Burnt Ones, White Mystery Drags, Part Time, Sabba Rabba, and label founder Matthew Melton’s band Warm Soda.

Melton was kind enough to share a few tracks from Volume 2 with me recently, and you can hear those cuts (from Drags, Part Time, and Sabba Rabba) below. A fourth track off the comp – Warm Soda’s “Tell Me In A Whisper” – was released in July as a limited edition 7-inch via Italy’s Goodbye Boozy. When you’re done whetting your palette with those teasers, head over to Fuzz City’s website to snag a copy of the new tape and keep your Walkman and boombox busy during the waning days of summer for a mere five bucks.

Drags, “Free Light”

Part Time, “Past The Sleeping Guards Of The Mausileum”
