More excellent updates about this weekend’s 2013 Phono del Sol Music & Food Festival:
We’re really excited to have San Francisco stand up comedian Anna Seregina hosting Phono del Sol 2013. Anna is extremely funny and has performed at multiple SF Sketchfests, the SF Comedy & Burrito Festival, and the Bruise Cruise Festival. Here’s a little more about her:
She was born in Moscow, Russia, which could explain her deep-rooted cynicism. It could also explain nothing. After being involved in theater and improv for nearly a decade and being funny for nearly a lifetime, she decided to take the plunge into stand-up comedy. Her style can nearly be defined as vocal and un-lady-like, drawing heavily on what little life experience she has. She has been described as having the “worst aura.”
We’re also very pleased to announce our festival DJ, Aaron Axelsen, who will be spinning in our beer garden throughout the fest. Aaron wears many hats in local music — he’s the Music Director of radio station Live 105, as well as the host of new music/local band show Soundcheck and EDM mixshow Subsonic. He also founded and runs the popular indie club night popscene at the Rickshaw Stop. Fun fact that’s also a testament to Aaron’s taste-making prowess: Mumford and Sons, Phoenix and Vampire Weekend all made their SF debuts at popscene events.
We’re really excited for Saturday! Get your tickets to Phono del Sol right now!
