Battlehooch @ Slim's

San Francisco denizens Battlehooch have had an eventful 2013 so far, dropping their new record Hot Lungs back in February, getting featured in a USA Today article about Bandpage’s Experiences feature (where they offered to donate six pints of blood and a post-donation, woozy live track in exchange for $300), and most recently participating in the Music Video Race. Though it may not involve a new LP, the loss of blood, or the haywire 48-hour production of a video with a complete stranger acting as director, this Saturday night will be pretty damn exciting nonetheless – the band is headlining a show at Slim’s. And fortunately for you, dear fans of the ‘Hooch, we’ve got a pair of tickets to giveaway to one lucky reader.

For your chance to win a pair of tickets, email at contest@thebaybridged.com with “Battlehooch” in the subject line and your full name in the body of the email. The contest closes Friday, June 21 at 12pm PDT, and a winner will be chosen at random and notified by email.

Get yourself geared up for Saturday night’s gig by watching Battlehooch’s band-spankin’ new video for the Hot Lungs track “I’m Exploding”, their contribution to the Music Video Race (directed by Oakland’s The Go Team 2), which “chronicles the perspectives of six distinguished gentlemen as they meet their grizzly, polychromatic demise while partaking in mundane tasks such as microwaving leftovers, chasing butterflies and looking fine like Poseidon while basking in a hot tub.”
