Warm Soda, "Jeanie Loves Pop"

Oakland’s Warm Soda unveiled a video for “Jeanie Loves Pop” last week with Spin. A send-up-slash-love-letter to the wicked power of rock ‘n’ roll that Warm Soda embodies and adores, the plot of “Jeanie Loves Pop” sorta sounds like a walks-into-a-bar joke: a teenage girl, a priest, some worried parents and a bunch of other people gather in a suburban house to save said teenage girl from the clutches of a Warm Soda LP. It doesn’t go as planned.

“Jeanie Loves Pop” comes from their debut album, Someone for You, released on Castle Face Records in March. Next week, the band will kick off a brief string of Canadian dates, to be followed by an extensive tour of Europe beginning in July.
