Indie darlings from down under, Blank Realm, will bring their laid-back psych-pop to the Hemlock Tavern this Saturday. The Brisbane natives released their latest album, Go Easy on Fire Records in early May. This band has been playing together for five years and literally bonded by blood–the group consist of three siblings. They have been steadily making their mark on the ever-growing underground Australian indie scene by putting out release after release.
The guitar on single “Cleaning Up My Mess” is sharp and patient until the song bursts into a lo-fi solo, then quickly reawakened by vibrant drums. This seven minute single is a slow and steady blues-y jangle, a song for a sunny day’s late morning.
