As we learned from an interview conducted by staff contributor Roman Gokham back in January, Scott Hansen is a multifaceted artist who views his musical moniker Tycho as an audio-visual project. The evidence is painted all over Tycho’s promotion material, album art and live shows, and his new music video for the track “Ascension” is no exception. Like a moving cross-processed photo, the entire piece is drenched in solar flares and incandescent colors, offering a warm, aesthetically pleasing visual to go with the acoustic-electronic downtempo tune.
