Split Screens, the project led by multi-instrumentalist Jesse Cafiero, released their debut video last week for the track “Born”. The video was created by Cafiero, who says he was inspired by screenings at San Francisco’s Oddball Films, a stock footage company that has provided footage for Milk, The Summer of Love, and Mythbusters, among others. Created entirely from archived footage at the local Prelinger Archives, he presents the ideal scene for this dreamy, hazy track. Cafiero is currently in the studio recording the next Split Screens release (and recently brought in members of Guy Fox to lay down some horn tracks). Split Screens will play Brick & Mortar as part of a bill we covered here on Tuesday and will tour the Pacific Northwest with Fox and Woman. The video and show details are below.
