Your unofficial disco ambassadors of the Bay Area, Kevin Meenan (epicsauce) and Andrew Marcogliese (YR SKULL), are bringing another installment of Push The Feeling to the Lower Haight on Friday. The shindig will feature an electrifying lineup of local funk dealers, with a DJ set from The Beat Broker and a live electronic performance from Plaza. Resident DJs epicsauce and YR SKULL will spin the night away at Underground SF.

The Beat Broker is the alias of San Francisco local Ryan Bishop, who dishes out synth-heavy space funk with a hint of distinctively disco flair and is also half of SF duo Broker/Dealer. His nine-track Limited Time release drops May 13 on (Bear Funk). Listen to “Beat to the Street” above, via XLR8R.

Plaza is the latest moniker of Johan Churchill, a fellow veteran of the San Fran-disco scene (yes, you have permission to shoot me). His latest Flip Phone 7-inch is out on Sound Boutique (stream the b-side above). Plaza will serve up a live set of down-tempo boogie-beats and will likely fill up the dance floor faster than you can say “John Travolta hologram.”

This unofficial record release party for The Beat Broker and Plaza will be free before 10pm, and $5 after.
