The Park to back Alice Russell on North American Tour with SF show tonight 5/3/13 (watch performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live)

As we’ve told you before, San Francisco’s The Park play a wide variety of styles with a wide variety of artists, in addition to creating their own original material. Perhaps one of their most notorious collaborations is as the backing band for British soulstress Alice Russell when she tours the US. Wednesday night, The Park backed Russell on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and tonight they set out with her on a North American tour, kicking things off with here in San Francisco at Mezzanine. Below you can see the two songs they performed on Kimmel, “Heartbreaker Part 2” and “For a While”, a set which was an impressive display of chemistry between a band and a singer usually separated by an ocean (plus a continent).
