San Francisco’s Fox & Woman have released their new song, “Belly of a Whale.” The song is split into two movements: side A and side B, just like that mixtape you made for your crush in middle school. You can stream them both below.

Their first (and second) single, “Belly of a Whale” establishes the sound they’ve been inching toward for the past two years: moody and modern, but with the tiniest nod to the past. More of a nudge, really.

Fox & Woman also be releasing a new record, This Side Dawn, at the end of May, celebrating with a show at Bottom of the Hill. They’ll also be playing a few East Bay shows soon and the Unplugged Music Fest in Modesto this summer.
