Yalls - "Dark Wing"

The increasingly prolific Berkeley-via-Jersey pop experimentalist Yalls just released a brand new digital EP called The Voice (no relation to the shitty singing competition), and you can pay what you want on Bandcamp to download the album’s eight, mostly sample-driven electronic cuts. Fans may recognize a few of the tracks (such as opener “Dark Wing” and standout “Remember”) from SoundCloud and recent live shows, but they have since been mixed exclusively for this release.

Dan Casey, the man behind Yalls and Steezy Ray Vibes, wrote a note on Bandcamp explaining his approach to the EP: “these voices aren’t mine but i’m singing with them. currently working on an LP with my own voice but in the meantime enjoy this.”

Dan previously discussed his acoustic rock-oriented side project Steezy Ray Vibes with The Bay Bridged, and while there is no official word, he has publicly hinted at the possibility of a live show this summer.
