Push The Feeling continues its monthly series at the Lower Haight’s Underground SF this Friday, March 8 with live sets from Lusine and Pale Blue Dot, and DJ sets from PTF residents epicsauce and YR Skull.
Longtime experimental electronic veteran Lusine (aka Seattle’s Jeff McIlwain) will perform a very special live set in support of his brand new LP, The Waiting Room, his third release on Ghostly International. While Lusine has dabbled in everything from techno and house to hip hop and electro over his 14-year music career, his latest release shifts from his usual ambient, experimental approach to a more polished pop sound. Get an inside look at Lusine’s music in a recent video feature for Slices, below.
Pale Blue Dot will warm up the vibe zone with a live set of Carl Sagan-inspired space-disco jams. The newly formed trio is based in Oakland, consisting of Jonny “Aimless” Latimer, Adam “One Love” Myatt (James & Evander), and Andrew “I hate the Internet” Macy. The group ditches the laptop in favor of a mix of guitar, bass, classic drum machines, vintage synths and analog processors. If you had an opportunity to catch any of Pale Blue Dot’s set at the Noise Pop-Up Shop last week, you know this show is not to be missed. Pale Blue just released a brand new EP on Mapzzz, which features a remix by Shortcircles. Stream or download the EP below via Bandcamp.
Push the Feeling resident DJs epicsauce (Kevin Meenan) and YR Skull (Andrew Marcogliese) will kick off the party at 9pm, with free entry until 10. After 10pm, it’s just $5 to get in. RSVP on Facebook. See you this Friday!
