Oakland’s post-punk group Wax Idols are back with a new single that throbs and pulsates. “AD RE:IAN” is a driving roller coaster from the band’s upcoming sophomore album, Discipline & Desire, out March 26 on Slumberland Records. The new single is raw and fuzzy, and coated with lead singer Heather Future’s almost-haunted voice. Where Wax Idols’s debut album, No Future, leaned more towards punk and garage rock elements, the new single shows a more rooted post-punk approach.
