Since forming in March 2011, San Francisco’s Rin Tin Tiger has hit the pavement hard, recording and releasing a self-titled EP and their debut full-length Toxic Pocketbook, playing a steady diet of Bay Area shows, and putting out a handful of videos from their two records (including “Ghost Door”, “Far Away”, and “The Move Apart Parcel”). Now they’re bringing their brand of alt-folk to Cafe Du Nord this Wednesday, January 30th for a headlining gig, and we’ve got a pair of tickets for one lucky reader courtesy of bassist Sean Sullivan.
To win a pair of tickets to Rin Tin Tiger’s gig this Wednesday at Cafe Du Nord, be the first person to email me at jason.shane@thebaybridged.com with “Rin Tin Tiger” in the subject line and your full name in the body of the email.
Sullivan and his cohorts (singer/guitarist Kevin Sullivan and drummer Andrew Skewes-Cox) have been gearing up for this Cafe Du Nord gig for quite some time, and they recently took to YouTube to release a trilogy of videos previewing the show. Check ’em out below, along with full details on Wednesday night’s gig. Portland-via-Minneapolis three-piece The Lower 48 opens, along with City dwellers and self-described “post apocalyptic zombie folk balladeers” Standard Poodle.
