John Cale needs no introduction – he co-founded The Velvet Underground, for fuck’s sake. That puts a person squarely in the “needs no introduction” camp.

So I’ll get right to the matter at hand: Cale just embarked on a West Coast tour with Cass McCombs as his supporting act, and The Bay Bridged wants to send you to the tour’s SF stopover this Sunday, December 9th at the Regency Ballroom. For FREE.

To enter for a chance to win a pair of tickets to this Sunday’s show, just email contest@thebaybridged.com with “John Cale” in the subject line. We’ll select a winner at random.

Cale is on tour in support of his new album Shifty Adventures In Nookie Wood, out now on Double Six Records. Here’s the song “Hatred”, which was previously only available on a bonus 7″ that came with the deluxe edition of Shifty Adventures:

And just for good measure, here’s a Cass McCombs track, too. This one’s called “Empty Promises”; it was the b-side of the “Bradley Manning” 7”, which Cass released earlier this year on Domino Records.
