San Francisco’s Speakeasy Ales & Lagers has quietly established itself as a budding institution in our fair City – if you haven’t tasted their perfectly hoppy Big Daddy IPA or ridiculously caramelly Prohibition Ale, you haven’t been paying attention. The brewery, located in the Bayview district, has been pumping out quality beers since 1997, and continues to concoct scrumptious new recipes for small batch brews that never fail to satisfy.

Speakeasy’s current lineup features Big Daddy, Prohibition, the even hoppier Double Daddy, Payback Porter, and White Lightning, plus a handful of super-craft beer lines – the Bootlegger Series, Syndicate Series, and Brewers Reserve. Hopefully someday they’ll bring back the gone-too-soon Untouchable Pale Ale that was a staple of many SF beer-drinking diets for a number of years.
