East Bay hip hop duo Main Attrakionz – fresh off their first proper full-length album Bossalinis & Fooliyones (out now on Young Ones Records) – will bring their local brand of cloud rap to DNA Lounge this Friday, November 9th for an internet-themed party dubbed “#Y3K“. MondreM.A.N and Squadda B will not be the main attraction of the night, however, as teenage Tumblr-rap sensation Kitty Pryde has been billed as the headliner. Oakland “disco rap” group Hottub will support, with DJ sets from FRIENDZONE (who has produced for Main Attrakionz on more than one occasion), Matrixxman, and Marco de la Vega.

Kitty Pryde will making be her SF live debut at #Y3K. The polarizing teen rapper has a substantial cult following on the Internet thanks to her strong presence on social media, namely Tumblr, as well as her legions of spiteful haters. Her music is available on Bandcamp, including her latest EP haha im sorry, which is streaming below.

Kitty Mcguire declined to comment, but she said in a recent Facebook status, “i want 2 quit rap and be an imagineer.”
