Total Trash, how I missed thee. All ages shows are getting harder to come by. There are many theories on this.

Shannon and her Clams delivered the full Misfits catalog and the fans lapped it up. Nobunny hopped through a set of Halloween classics that woulda made any KALX DJ proud. Yes to “Monster Mash” and “Purple People Eater” but also Roky Erikson’s “2 Headed Dog,” The Cramps’ “Goo Goo Muck” and favorites of Lux and Ivy like “The Crusher.” For “Ghostbusters,” Señor Nobunny brought out an all star crew of back up singers including a lamb-chopped Shannon Shaw and the hard-to-believe-she-had-clothes-on MOM! Fortunately for the many perverts in the audience there was some soft porn during the Clams set with skantily-klad, sexy skeletons shaking it hard.

I’ve never been hit with a Saltine before. When cracker man got on stage for the costume contest, we should have expected it. The night was still young and the floor was beyond sticky with crap beer. When two dudes got on stage shaking two-liter bottles of cola, I ran for the balcony. Fortunately my camera survived the evening’s indoor drinkstorm.

I can’t imagine the same is true for the determined fella on stage filming so voraciously. Who is this Hard Rock Cafe-Cancun bitch? Dispatched from National Geographic Kazakhstan?? The guy barely flinched as bottle after bottle emptied on his head and camera from the balcony above. Even Nobunny was a little pissed. You don’t see that every day.

A comic-ghost came on between sets. He ran the costume contest and became the target of heavy swearing and an assault of flying cups, cans and miscellaneous garbage. Hard to tell who won. Was it Robot or Lisa Simpson?

Only two more nights of Total Trash! Brace yourselves. Wear something beer resistant. The Coachwhips are sure to bring in it on. And Guantanamo Baywatch, well, don’t get me started.

It is with severe shame that I missed Uzi Rash who apparently began as The Fall but quickly morphed into The Doors. Shucks, I wanted to see Audacity as well. I beg forgiveness!

Nobunny and Shannon & the Clams play TOMORROW Wednesday, October 31st (Halloween bitch!) at Brick and Mortar. Uzi Rash play their last show ever Thursday, November 29th at Sugar Mountain, R.I.P!
