Generationals announce tour dates, new EP out now

New Orleans indie rock duo Generationals are coming to San Francisco this November to support the release of their new EP Lucky Numbers, out now.

Following up on their well-received second album Actor-Castor, the almost twee duo took a break from touring in 2011 to stay home in New Orleans and record Lucky Numbers. The results: an EP that is heavy on synths and electronics. It’s a twist that you wouldn’t necessarily expect to come out of a city known as birthplace of jazz, but Generationals are adamant that Lucky Numbers is a New Orleans record through-and-through. “I’m telling you this EP is New Orleans as hell,” the band claims. “It might not sound like it, but it is.”

Check out the subdued first single “Lucky Numbers,” the recent “Sale City,” and tour dates below. The band will visit SF on November 13 for a show at Cafe Du Nord.
