Bay Area black metal groups Deafheaven and Bosse-de-Nage are prepping for the release of a split EP for San Francisco’s Flensor Records. The EP, which is due for release soon (an exact date has yet to be announced) will feature Deafheaven covering Mogwai’s “Punk Rock / Cody,” while Bosse-de-Nage are recording a new song called “A Mimesis of Purpose.”
Bosse-de-Nage are a band to watch in the Bay Area underground metal scene — their latest LP, III, caught the eyes of Pitchfork and other mainstream publications, while Deafheaven’s last album Roads to Judah was featured on numerous year-end lists, including NPR.
