San Francisco’s Birdmonster returns with a live performance on October 11th, headlining the Rock ‘N’ Roll Carnival presented by Broke Ass Stuart, Tricycle Records, and Public Works. The indie rock quartet will be joined on the main stage by Le VICE, Teenage Sweater, and DJ Bagel Ted (of Bagel Radio), and the “Carnival Stage” will feature the comedic stylings of Stuart, as well as other comedy, magic, and burlesque acts, not to mention some rock ‘n’ roll facepainting and DJ sets from Mario Muse and Jacob Fury.
Recognizing that there’s no substitute for playing live gigs when it comes to connecting with their fans, Birdmonster will have the opportunity to test out some new material in front of the adoring masses at the Carnival. The band recently introduced Singles Project, a collection of tracks recorded “in fits and spurts” over the last year, and thus far released two songs (“Living” and “Motel Pool”) in support of that venture. “Living” was also included on the Friends of Tricycle Records Compilation Vol. 2, and this show will be an opportunity to celebrate that release as well.
