The members of British Columbia’s Yukon Blonde have been road warriors in 2012, touring much of North America and Europe in support of their sophomore LP Tiger Talk, including appearances at SXSW and a series of festival sets during the summer. Now they’re heading out again, this time piggybacking two lengthy tours – first across the U.S. with Sydney, Australia’s The Jezabels and then throughout their native Canada with The Sheepdogs, winners of Rolling Stone’s 2011 “Choose The Cover” contest.

The tour’s U.S. leg finds Yukon Blonde in San Francisco next Wednesday, October 3rd, opening for The Jezabels at The Independent. The show promises to be full of the infectious, post-punk-influenced pop that permeates Tiger Talk (out in March on Toronto’s Dine Alone Records).

The band recently released the video for Tiger Talk track “Stairway”, which was directed by Josh Broadbent, produced by members of The New BEAT art collective in Toronto, and features singer/guitarist Brandon Scott conducting what resembles the weirdest house-cleaning session on record. The track is a burst of indie pop brilliance, impossible to resist with its driving melodies and contagious beats. Check it out below, courtesy of The New BEAT’s Vimeo page:
