Pancho-san

Pancho-san, a project of Patrick Abernethy (of Rogue Wave and Beulah fame), has released Americans, a follow-up to 2010’s Oh, Mellow Melody.

The word ‘eclectic’ gets thrown around a lot in reference to music, but Americans is an album that truly fits the bill. In contrast to Pancho-san’s previous work, which stayed pretty firmly rooted in melodic, throwback folk, this one runs the gamut from beachy ballads to dreamy, blippy electronic tracks, all while retaining a rustic feel. Abernethy is backed on Americans by former collaborators Eli Crews and Pat Spurgeon.
