Baltimore-based experimental rock outfit HUME is coming to San Francisco on September 19th to play a show with Sacramento’s Pregnant at The Depot, located in the Cesar Chavez Student Center on the SFSU campus. Stream HUME’s new single “Phasing” below, via the band’s Bandcamp page.
HUME is the brainchild of classically trained musician Britton Powell, who has toured extensively with the constantly shifting project, exploring new sounds and environments. In 2011, the band arrived at its current lineup, which consists of dual drummers, vocals, electric bass, and electric guitar, “often
decontextualized and redefined through otherworldly stereo processing.” In the past, the band has supported ESG, Dan Deacon, Grimes, and Mi Ami, and has played festivals including SXSW, NXNE, CMJ, Northside Fest, and Hopscotch.
HUME’s principal drummer and visual artist Wilson Kemp directed the video for the band’s latest single, which premiered on Ad Hoc. Watch the music video for “Phasing” below.
Catch HUME at The Depot with Sacramento’s favorite one man band Pregnant, the experimental pop project of loop wizard Daniel Trudeau, on September 19th.
