Les Sins

Epicsauce is presenting a unique installment of its Friday night dance party series Push the Feeling on Sep. 7th with a special DJ set from Les Sins, the dance-ready, buzz-worthy alter ego of Toro Y Moi’s Chaz Bundwick. The evening also marks the SF live debut of new SF/LA-based duo Silver Hands.

Chaz actually started the Les Sins dancefloor project around the same time he started releasing fuzzy dream-pop as Toro Y Moi back in 2009. He released his first record as Les Sins in 2010, the Lina/Youth Gone 12″ on Carpark. Now, he has a new Les Sins 7″ on Caribou’s JIAOLONG label with the singles “Fetch” and “Taken.” Both are solid tracks with dreamy house beats with samples of catchy R&B vocal bits. Great stuff.

Check out “Skulls” from local electronic duo Silver Hands below, who will be performing their SF debut live set. Their chilled out club rhythms and smooth female vocals will set the vibe for the night. Epicsauce and YR SKULL will be working the DJ booth as well.

As usual, this exciting installment of Push the Feeling will take place at Underground SF (Haight @ Webster) at 9pm on Friday. This time, however, it wont be free, as there will be a mere $5 cover charge at the door. Don’t worry, though, it will definitely be a night to remember. Be sure to RSVP for the event on Facebook.
