Oakland’s very own Dylan Travis, who performs dark, experimental synth pop under the moniker Some Ember, has released a new track called “Flowers Open.” The song is the first taste from his soon-to-be-announced sophomore cassette release, Pleasure. The expansive synth pop jam is vibrant with psychic energy and spacey sonic imagery.

Some Ember performs with Yalls at The Glasslands in New York City on August 12, and will be returning to The Knockout in San Francisco on August 23 with Uncanny Valley and Group Rhoda. Some Ember’s debut tape release Hotel of Lost Light is out now on Crash Symbols. Follow him on Facebook or Twitter.
