Milo Greene makes the kind of music that just feels like late-summer. Dreamy pianos and guitars, male-and-female vocals woven together in subtle harmony — listening to them makes you want to be in the woods, in a sun-dappled cove, probably weaving feathers into your hair. Or whatever your particular late-summer happy place may look like. The band is made up of five members (there’s no one Milo Greene), but they evoke larger ensembles like Edward Sharpe and Of Monsters of Men with their sound, but a bit more slick and a bit tighter (if equally infectious).
Milo Green recently came out with an 11-track, self-titled EP, and announced a slew of fall tour dates. They’ll be stopping through San Francisco on November 16, with a show at The Independent.
In the meantime, you can stream three of the tracks off the new album below, and check out the excellent Spotify playlist they put together for Consequence of Sound featuring some serious 90s jamz. Check it out… you won’t be sorry.
