Tycho, the music project of San Francisco-based graphic artist and producer Scott Hansen, announced a 21-date September 2012 tour with San Diego ambient rockers The Album Leaf, kicking off in Los Angeles on the first of the month and wrapping up in Boulder, Colorado on the 26th. When Hansen posted the tour dates on his Facebook page, he professed his admiration for his opening act, calling himself a “long time Album Leaf fan” and stating that “it will be an honour to share the stage with them.”

Hansen has been touring incessantly in 2012, playing a short European run before returning Stateside for gigs at SXSW in March followed by a summer tour across the Northeast, Midwest, and West Coast. The Fall tour with The Album Leaf concentrates on the South and desert Southwest. After these gigs, Hansen will then return to the Bay Area for a performance at October’s Treasure Island Music Festival.

All of this touring comes on the heels of the release of the single for “Dive”, the title track off Tycho’s 2011 LP, Hansen’s second on the Ann Arbor and NYC-based label Ghostly International. The vinyl featured two exceptional remixes of the track by Memoryhouse and Keep Shelly In Athens, both of which you can hear below.
