On Monday, July 30th, there will be a live hip hop showcase at SOM BAR SF presented by Rad Reef and Mishka. The showcase will feature Keyboard Kid, Shady Blaze, Yalls, and Zachg.
Keyboard Kid (Greg Phillips) is a Seattle-based beat producer who will be performing his Bay Area debut. As one of Lil B’s main producers, known for his crafty beats and “vibrant soundscapes,” Keyboard Kid is sure to get the club poppin’.
If you follow Bay Area hip hop, chances are you have already heard the name Shady Blaze. The talented Oakland-based rapper is a member of the Green Ova collective alongside Main Attrakionz, and he’s gained attention with his quick mic skills and poignant lyrics. He recently collaborated with NYC electronic occultist Blissed Out.
Also connected to Main Attrakionz is Berkley’s Yalls, the electronic, beat-heavy solo project of musician Dan Casey, who has remixed the Oakland duo in the past. Following the release of his recent Yalls II compilation, Dan will perform a set of funky dance tracks.
Rapper, beatmaker, video producer and part-time music critic Zachg will also be performing at the event.
