San Francisco-based “indie Americana rock” band Buxter Hoot’n announced its fourth release, an EP entitled Na Na Na that is slated to come out September 4th. Recorded in Chicago (just a short way from bandleaders Vince and Jim Dewald’s hometown of Mishawaka, Indiana) and produced by Greg Magers, Na Na Na features six tracks of the band’s distinctively rootsy mixture of guitar, bass, drums, and violin, as well as the beautifully intertwining vocals of Vince Dewald and Melissa Merrill.
In conjunction with announcing Na Na Na‘s release, Buxter Hoot’n also premiered the video for the EP’s first single, the stirring and groove-heavy track “Kids Those Days”:
The quintet will fete the new release with an August 17th gig at the band’s favorite Bay Area club Cafe Du Nord, with Jugtown Pirates opening. Additionally, the Dewald brothers’ “trash pop” side project Brand New Trash is playing a July 28th show at the Starry Plough in Berkeley with T.V. Mike & the Scarecrowes and Vanessa VerLee.
