Brooklyn-based Woods has a new album, which is their seventh (!), coming out on September 18, 2012. Bend Beyond will be released on their own Woodsist label, and the band will of course be making an appearance at the Woodsist Festival at the Henry Miller Memorial Library in Big Sur this August (along with Real Estate, The Fresh and Onlys, Thee Oh Sees, and more).

To whet your appetite for all of the above, Woods has released a new track off the upcoming album. Called “Cali in a Cup,” the song opens with a swath of rich harmonica and a smokey shimmer of electric guitar. The perfect soundtrack to your summer doings, we can only imagine it will sound all kinds of magical with the Big Sur backdrop come August.
