We’re blessed in the San Francisco Bay Area with a relative proximity to a number of the nation’s best music festivals (Coachella, Outside Lands, andTreasure Island to name a few). Now historic downtown Los Angeles’s latest incarnation is making a name for itself on that list too. Last week the FYF FEST lineup was officially announced, and we here at the Bay Bridged are convinced that the festival is definitely road trip worthy. These bands are nothing short of amazing, featuring seldom seen indie acts like Tiger & Woods, Papa, and Interpol’s Paul banks as well as big name headliners like M83, James Blake, Sleigh Bells and Yeasayer. The best part? Two day festival passes start at just $77.
If the dollar amount and headliners aren’t enough to convince you to fill up the tank and hit the 5, consider going to support the number of amazing San Francisco acts making the trip down south. Maybe if you’re lucky you can even hitch a ride. We’re representing the Bay Area with an impressive spread featuring Tycho, Two Gallants, The Allah-las, and White Fence. Check out some of their music below and be sure to visit http://fyffest.com/tickets/ ASAP, there are a limited number of tickets available at $77 and the number will go up as they sell out. Anybody wanna split gas?
