San Francisco’s 80s-inspired murk-pop group Part Time is out with a hilarious video for their latest single, “Is It Magic”, off their new album, What Would You Say?, recently released on Mexican Summer Records.

As if their catchy throwback beats and David Byrne-y vocals in the tune didn’t provide enough to like, the video’s protagonist will make you fall in love with the song instantly. A super nerd who earned my respect immediately with his choice of shirt (RAINBOW PLAID!), it’s hard not to fall for him as he embarks on a powerful journey to win the heart of a girl who is clearly, far, far out of his league. He prepares a candle lit dinner, brings her flowers and balloons, and, well, watch and find out the rest.
