On May 19th the talented husband/wife-led Two Sheds (John and Caitlin Gutenberger) said goodbye to their hometown of Sacramento with a farewell show at Luigi’s Slice, before packing up to brave Los Angeles.
Around the same time, the Gutenbergers released their Covers EP, a collection of honest and fun tunes ranging from The Troggs’ “With A Girl Like You” to Harry Nilsson’s “Me And My Arrow” (The Point, anyone?). The EP begins with Caitlin’s excellent vocal take of Birds & Batteries‘ “We’re an Industry”, which you can hear below along with the whole release. It’s also available over on Bandcamp, which dons the design from a limited edition print from that final Sacramento show.
If the Sheds’ SoCal relocation is news to you, or you’ve been curious about their next Bay Area appearance, fear not. They’ve been added as direct support for Emily Jane White‘s Ode To Sentinence album release show at Brick & Mortar Music Hall tonight, 6/12/12.
