THEE OH SEES

Last month, on May 2nd, local psych-rock heroes Thee Oh Sees played a free show at Public Works in San Francisco. The performance was part of the promotional Step Into the Black Music Series sponsored by Fader and Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum.

John Dwyer and company delivered a predictably rowdy and energized set of favorites for their boozed-out fans. In case you were too wasted to remember, or if you were over at The Independent watching Ty Segall and White Fence play one of the best shows of the year, the Fader film crew was considerate enough to capture some sweet footage of Thee Oh Sees tearing it up on stage.

Watch the clip to witness the band jam out their recent live staple “The Dream” under pink and green lighting, a highlight from last year’s Carrion Crawler/The Dream double EP. Stay tuned past the three-minute mark to watch Dwyer practically giving his microphone a blowjob during the breakdown. Shots of the crowd revealed fans to be thoroughly enjoying the wild performance.

Thee Oh Sees are currently touring in Europe, but they’ll be coming back around for the Woodsist and Outside Lands Festivals in August.
